File an annual tow report

Tow companies that conduct police ordered or trespass tows are required to file an annual tow report with the DPU.
Reports that are not received by March 31, 2024 will be assessed a $25.00 per day late fee

What you need to do   for File an annual tow report

  • Review all tow invoices for the calendar year
  • If no regulated tows were completed, submit this form by mail to the Division with a filing fee of $10
  • If regulated tows were conducted, complete the form and submit it to the Department online or by mail and pay the filing fee online or by mail

How to file   File an annual tow report

You can complete the annual tow report and submit it to the Department along with a check or money order payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

You can complete the annual tow report online and pay fees through nCourt.

To submit an annual tow report online, you will need to fill out the form using Microsoft Excel and email the form as an attachment to John.X.Keenan@mass.gov.  You will also need to pay required fees through nCourt or by check or money order mailed to the Department.  Please tell us in your email if you are paying online or by mail.  Please note that paying fees by mail will delay processing.
