After you contact DAS

  • Once you have found an Employer (open shop) or a Union willing to sponsor your apprenticeship, you are ready to start.
  • Pipefitter, Refrigeration (10 tons+), and Sprinklerfitter apprentices must register for licensure with the Bureau of Engineers. These links explain the steps: Sprinklerfitter ApprenticeRefrigeration ApprenticePipefitter Apprentice,  
  • If the sponsor does not have a registered apprenticeship, they will need to contact the Division of Apprentice Standards (DAS) to register.
  • Next, complete your training through your sponsor.
  • Once your training is completed DAS will issue a Certificate of Completion.
