Decide which guide you need
PERAC Retirement Guides offer guidance to Massachusetts public employees, retirees, survivors, and beneficiaries on the benefits available to them. These guides may be downloaded for free from our website or you may request single copies from your retirement system.
You may also order printed copies directly from our vendor, Commonwealth Print Services.
The Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission publishes five retirement guides. All the guides can be ordered through CPS. Payment can be made by check only made out to Commonwealth Print Services.
Public Employee Guide
- The Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide (for membership prior to 4/2/2012)
- Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Guide For those Becoming Members on or after April 2, 2012 (for membership on or after to 4/2/2012)
Disability Retirement
- The Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Disability Retirement (regardless of membership date)
Survivor Benefits
- Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Survivor Benefits for Those Becoming Members Prior to April 2, 2012(for membership prior to 4/2/2012)
- The Massachusetts Public Employee Guide to Survivor Benefits (for membership on or after 4/2/2012)
