S.E.M.P.T.A. Reserve/Intermittent Basic Academy
The Reserve/Intermittent Recruit Officer Course consists of 375 hours. *An additional 20 hours of MPTC-certified firearms training is required if the officer will be armed with a firearm.
Training Location: Acushnet Police Department - (unless otherwise noted)

Hours: Generally runs Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings and Saturdays
- 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m.
- Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. (There may also be an occasional Sundays)
Attire: Academy uniform required.

Tuition is made payable to SEMPTA in the form of a bank certified check or money order (only).
- There is an additional costs for books (approximately $260.00). A separate check should also be made payable to SEMPTA
