Take a mental health screener

A self-screener, or set of questions you answer about yourself, can help you check in on your mental health. Screeners can help you decide what type of support is right for you.
It takes only a few minutes per screening, and at the end you will be presented with information and next steps.

Your answers are anonymous and confidential: screenings are not linked to any one individual. Take these screenings anywhere you feel comfortable.

Your screening result will not provide a diagnosis: only a mental health professional can diagnose a mental health condition or disorder.

The self-screeners featured here are vetted and approved by professionals for screening specific mental health conditions.

  • For example, the generalized anxiety screener is the Carroll-Davidson GAD scale (CD-GAD), which is a12-item screening tool for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The CD-GAD has a yes/no format and measures GAD symptoms occurring over the past six months.

In addition to the wide-range screening, you'll find screeners for these topics:

  • Adolescent depression
  • Alcohol use
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Problem gambling
  • Depression
  • Disordered eating
  • Generalized anxiety
  • Opioid misuse
  • Psychosis
  • Post traumatic stress
  • Substance use
  • Well-being
  • Anger
