The Essex District Attorney's Office provides a wide range of services to crime victims, their family members and witnesses as mandated by the Victim Rights Law (MGL Chapter 258B). Essex Victim Witness Advocates aid in the prosecution of criminal cases by working closely with victims and witness throughout the court process. They also help to reduce the stress and trauma that can occur in the aftermath of crime. Specialized services for families of homicide victims, domestic violence, child abuse and other victims of abuse are also offered.
