What you will need for a DPU bus permit:

  • Print the application
  • Complete all sections of the form
  • Copy of current certificate of insurance
  • Mail all documents to the DPU office

What carriers need to know about permits:

DPU permits for new vehicles require an inspection by a DPU Inspector. When the permit application is processed the DPU Inspector will contact the business to schedule a time and location to conduct the vehicle inspection.

Renewal notifications will be mailed to carriers in July. The renewal permits will be processed and mailed directly to the carrier. The carrier should place the permit on the curb side of the vehicle close to the entrance door. 

All permits expire on September 30th of each year.
