Learn about long-term contracts that the electric companies can enter into with renewable energy developers.

Long-term contracts between electric companies and developers help Massachusetts reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable resources such as solar, on-shore wind, offshore wind, and hydroelectric power. The most recent law requires the electric companies to consider proposals for offshore wind (83C contracts), and for solar, on-shore wind, and hydropower (83D contracts).
