Who we serve

The Massachusetts School Building Authority partners with communities to support the design and construction of educationally appropriate, flexible, sustainable, and cost-effective public school facilities.

With a dedicated revenue stream of one penny of the state’s 6.25-percent sales tax, we have made more than $12.8 billion in reimbursements to cities, towns, and regional school districts for school construction projects in our ten-year history.
