Private Occupational School Oversight

The OSA evaluates the ownership, organization, and financial condition of private occupational schools in Massachusetts.

Private occupational schools provide students with skills in fields such as culinary arts, computer technology, phlebotomy, and holistic health care. The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) evaluates the ownership, organization, and financial condition of each of these schools in Massachusetts. We also determine the level of indemnification protection needed by each school to cover potential refunds to students in the event of an unexpected closure or breach of contract by the school.
