Application Opening: July 1, 2020
Application Deadline: July 22, 2020*
Notice to Appear for Exam: August 15, 2020
Examination Date: August 29, 2020 (Saturday)
Score Release Date: September 29, 2020
Employment/Experience Last Day to Appeal: October 16, 2020
Eligible List Establishment Date: November 1, 2020

Written Examination Fee: $100*
Location: Various Sites across the state
Eligibility: This is an entry-level exam. Please refer to the exam poster/application for specific information.

*There is an additional $50 fee for applications received after July 22, 2020. Applications will not be accepted after July 28, 2020.

Next Steps

1. Log in your Civil Service online account.
2. Read texts on the reading list.
3. Apply for the exam.
4. Notice to Appear for Examination:  August 15, 2020

   Two weeks before the examination date you will receive a notice to appear by e-mail.  The notice will tell you the location and the time to appear for your examination.  Please check your junk or spam mail folder for the e-mail before contacting this office.

5. Score: September 29, 2020
   Your exam score has been sent by email.
    
6. Employment/Experience Last Day to Appeal: October 16, 2020
    
7. Eligible List Establishment Date: November 1, 2020
   When the eligible list is established you will be able to view your rank.

How to Apply for the Exam

Registration is closed.

1. Find the application for the exam.
2. Read about the exam information and find out if you’re eligible to take the exam.
3. Click Apply in the top right corner of the exam poster and follow the instructions to submit your application.
4. Once you’ve successfully submitted your application, you’ll see a Click to Pay button. Click the button to pay for your exam. Be sure to pay for the correct exam.
5. You’ll receive two confirmation emails when you’ve completed the process:
   
   ♦ an email confirming that your application has been received
   ♦ an email confirming that your payment has been received
