COVID-19: Status of Executive Branch Office Locations

Learn about the status of Executive Branch in-person office locations during the COVID-19 outbreak

On March 17, the Baker-Polito Administration issued new guidelines to Executive Branch employees to ensure core state government functions are able to continue and key services are able to be provided to residents during the COVID-19 outbreak, while protecting the health and safety of the Executive Branch workforce and the public. The new protocols are effective March 18, 2020 and have been extended by Governor Baker until May 18.

Massachusetts Department of Transportation

Openings:

  • Registry of Motor Vehicles Service Centers (Boston/Haymarket, Brockton, Fall River, Lawrence, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Springfield and Worcester)
  • Mass Turnpike Rest Area (NOTE: Open, but without seating in food areas)
  • Route 128 Rest Areas
  • Route 495 Rest Areas (NOTE: Bathrooms in these facilities are NOT open)
  • Route 6 (Cape Cod) Rest Areas
  • Massachusetts Department of Transportation HQ (10 Park Plaza) (NOTE: All individuals coming in for meetings must be escorted upstairs to offices by staffer)
