POST Commission Certification Documents
Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA’s) are required to submit completed certification packets for individuals to be certified by the POST Commission and authorized to be employed as a law enforcement officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The POST Commission is presently issuing certifications to the following. Click on the link for submission documents and instructions:
- New Candidate Hires (attending, scheduled to attend, or recently graduated from an MPTC-operated or MPTC-authorized basic training academy)
- New Officer Hires (completed basic training, and has worked as a police officer, but was not employed as police officer on July 1, 2021 and not certified by statute). (Not for Special State Police Officers - please see link below)
- Special State Police Officers: New Hires, Academy Trained
