Massachusetts Agricultural Community Mental Health & Wellness Program

The program's goal is to provide language, context and resources to enhance mental health conversations.

Massachusetts farmers pride themselves on their ability to produce healthy, high-quality crops and livestock, but they often overlook their mental health and wellness. The Massachusetts Agricultural Community Mental Health and Wellness program's goal is to provide language, context and resources to enhance mental health conversations, with a focus on furthering the efforts of ending the stigma associated with discussion and treatment for the Commonwealth’s farm and agricultural community stakeholders.

MDAR recognizes the challenges facing the State's agriculture community and the nuanced concerns across all of the State's agricultural community, its supporters and stakeholders, including members who are Veterans and part of the Commonwealth's underserved BIPOC farming network. Particular attention and services will be focused on serving these important members of the agriculture community.
