The MassWildlife Hunter Education Program offers 6 courses that provide instruction in outdoor activities related to hunting, trapping, and firearm use.
If you want to purchase your first hunting license and have never taken Hunter Education before, you should enroll.
Minors under 12 years of age cannot hunt in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts residents 15 years and older who wish to possess, carry, and transport firearms, ammunition, and feeding devices are required to have a firearms license. Firearms licenses are issued by municipal police departments.
