With funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Section 320 of the Clean Water Act, MassBays provides small grants to nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and municipalities for projects that advance progress toward the goals of our Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan. We seek proposals that will fill in gaps in knowledge about our assessment areas, demonstrate new approaches to monitoring or protecting near-shore habitats, or lay the groundwork for future restoration. Importantly, we want to help communities meet their goals to improve and restore vital habitats that are important for their wellbeing.
Visit the links below for a list and detailed reports of projects funded by MassBays through its grant program. Since 2011, MassBays has funded 38 projects and made available over three quarters of a million dollars in funds for projects to our communities. In the process we have forged strong partnerships and together we will meet our goals to improve our estuaries.
The next round of funding will be available in 2023.
