Responds to releases and threats of release of oil and hazardous materials to the environment on a 24/7 basis to protect public health, safety and the environment.

Emergency Response staff respond to spills of oil or hazardous chemicals. Spills can occur anywhere. Some examples include roadway accidents, chemical fires and even leaking home heating tanks. We respond at any hour of the day, any day of the year (24/7). There are about 900 spills and other environmental emergencies each year.
