MassWildlife's Habitat Program

MassWildlife’s Habitat Program conserves rare and declining wildlife through restoration and management of grassland, shrubland, and young forest habitats.

The Habitat Program conserves rare and declining wildlife species identified in the State Wildlife Action Plan through restoration and management of grassland, shrubland, and young forest habitats on public and private lands across Massachusetts. MassWildlife employs a number of tools to create, restore, and maintain open habitat types to meet habitat goals.
