MRC Transition Services For Students and Youth

If you are 14 and older, MRC has many services to help you prepare for work, get a job, gain leadership skills and live on your own.

MRC offers supports around job preparation and exploration for students 14 and older while they are still in high school. MRC works with many community providers to offer pre-employment transition services for students. The goal of these services and supports are to provide you with the skills needed to be successful with employment or further education after high school. As you think about transitioning out of high school, you might thinking of getting a job. By applying for vocational rehabilitation and working with a Counselor you can get connected to a training program, an assessment, assistive technology or even a paid job. You can also gain leadership skills and participate in an internship program through our Independent Living Centers. Our services focus on the importance of self-advocacy and help you live more independently. We partner with schools, families, and other state agencies to support your transition plan to a job or further education.
