National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

The ACT NCRC is an industry-recognized, portable, research-based credential that certifies essential skills needed for workplace success.

National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a credential that is earned by an individual by taking three WorkKeys tests, or assessments. The assessments demonstrate achievement and a certain level of workplace employability in the three skill areas - Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information. Individuals take these tests separately yet the level of NCRC received, is the lowest of the three test scores. For example if a student receives a 5 on Applied Mathematics, 4 on Locating Information, and a 5 on Reading for Information then the student receives a score of 4, and generates a Silver certificate. These tests do not expire and the student is the only one who can send their score to an employer.
