Pittsfield — Jameail C. Beckett, a Pittsfield man accused of robbing multiple businesses in the city, was arraigned on four counts of armed and masked robbery on Tuesday in Berkshire County Superior Court.
Judge John Agostini ordered Beckett, 35, held without the right to bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Friday. A co-defendant in the case, Ivelisse Ruusukallio, also of Pittsfield, was arraigned on Tuesday in Superior Court on one count of armed robbery, stemming from a Dec. 28th robbery.
Beckett was arrested Dec. 28 and charged with robbing the Family Dollar store on Dec. 18, Angelina's Sub Shop on Wahconah Street on Dec. 19, the Alltown Market on Dec. 27, and the Angelina's Sub Shop on West Housatonic Street on the day he was arrested.
Last month, Central Berkshire District Court Judge Jennifer Tyne ordered Beckett held without bail for 120 days. On Tuesday, Berkshire Assistant District Attorney Jedd L. Hall refiled for a dangerousness hearing in Superior Court, which the judge granted for Friday.
Pre-trial hearings for Beckett and Ruusukallio are scheduled for June 20.
