The Massachusetts State Police offers child car seat installations and inspections as a free service. This program is funded, in part, by the Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Equipment Grant received from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Highway Safety Division, Office of Grants and Research.

Starting on July 12 and ending September 28, we have two certified technicians on Tuesday evenings, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Danvers, Framingham, and Middleboro.

Some tips before coming in:
If you would like us to install a new seat, familiarize yourself with the seat and, if possible, attempt to install it yourself before the inspection.

Bring the owner's manual for the child seat and your vehicle to the inspection if you have them.

Please remove trash and debris from your vehicle.

Appointments
To make appointments outside of listed hours, contact the Traffic Programs Section or call 774-462-3766 Monday-Friday between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. We will do our best to accommodate you.
