On October 29, 2021 MassBays convened a panel of scientists and policymakers to discuss potential factors contributing to low dissolved oxygen conditions observed in Cape Cod Bay since 2019, as well as data needs and solutions to address potential impacts on marine habitat and on fisheries such as lobsters. See this MarineFisheries Advisory (PDF, 2 MB) for details on the issue.

The  2021 Hypoxia Forum Agenda included presentations on ongoing monitoring by the Cape Cod Survey Fleet, as well presentations on the physical and biological oceanographic characteristics of Cape Cod Bay., followed by a panel discussion. A recoding of the webinar is available here
