MCAD Unveils Service to Check Complaint Status

Boston — The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination is proud to pilot its new online service, an Online tool to request a status update on a complaint, which coincides with the launch of its new website hosted on the revamped mass.gov portal.

The new feature allows parties to a case to submit a secure request for a status update on their case. Given the current staffing levels, investigations at the Commission take on average 18-22 months to complete, during which time there are periods with limited contact from the investigator.

"In an effort to improve access and the level of communication from our office, we have built a new Status Request System," said H Harrison, Assistant to the Commissioners. "The MCAD hopes that the People of the Commonwealth start to take advantage of the new service in order to ensure that they stay informed throughout the process."
