News New programs for people with dementia and their caregivers

If you care for a family member or friend with dementia, the following offerings are available for a limited time. Some restrictions apply.

  • Technology to help you face the challenges of dementia.
  • Savvy Caregiver training and respite care to help you attend the training.

 

Technology solutions to caregiver challenges

For a limited time, technology is available for caregivers who care for a family member or friend with dementia. Examples include:

  • Portable digital music players with personalized playlists
  • GPS and other tracking devices
  • Electronic medication management systems (without required membership)
  • Communication aids (such as telephone devices and electronic tablets)
  • Video monitoring devices
  • Electronic sensory devices (such as robotic pets)
  • Counseling and support on the available technologies

Training for caregivers of persons with dementia

For a limited time, Savvy Caregiver training is available for caregivers who care for a family member or friend with dementia. This training includes 6 sessions and respite care is available to help you attend. Some restrictions apply.
