Public Hearing Notice for regulation 454 CMR 28.00
Notice is hereby given pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, §2, that the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, in conjunction with the Department of Labor Standards (DLS), will hold a public hearing on proposed asbestos regulations: The Removal, Containment, Maintenance or Encapsulation of Asbestos 454 CMR 28.00.
The purpose of these edits to the regulations is to remedy grammatical errors and any inaccuracies in cross references.
The hearing will be held on December 16, 2022, at 1:00pm and attendance shall be by live video and or telephonic access. This is the information for accessing the meeting:

The Department encourages all interested parties, including those who testify at the public hearing, to submit written testimony electronically to dlsFeedback@state.ma.us.
Please submit electronic testimony as an attached Word document and type the regulation number (454 CMR 28.00) and name of the regulation (The Removal, Containment, Maintenance or Encapsulation of Asbestos 454 CMR 28.00) in the subject line of the email. All submitted testimony must include the sender’s full name and address. The Department will post all electronic testimony that complies with these instructions on its website. All written or oral comments submitted to the Department may be posted on the Department’s website and released in response to a request for public records. All written testimony must be received by December 19, 2022, by 5pm.
