News Public comment period on proposed amendments to EEC's Background Record Check regulations (606 CMR 14)

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) is holding a public comment period to solicit feedback on proposed changes to its regulations governing criminal offender and other background record checks at 606 CMR 14.00. The purpose of 606 CMR 14.00 is to establish standardized procedures for EEC to process Background Record Checks (BRCs) of candidates for licensure, employment, affiliation or presence in programs licensed, approved or funded by EEC in accordance with state and federal law.  Please click the links below for more information on the proposed changes to these regulations and how to provide feedback during the public comment period.
