The AGC MA (Associated General Contractors) held its annual awards event last week, the “Build New England Awards.” This is one of the most prestigious local awards, and the Division of Capital Asset Managment and Maintenance's (DCAMM's) Salem Probate and Family Court Project received an award for Historic Restoration and Addition.

This court project involved a complete overhaul of the historic 1909 court building as well as the demolition and replacement of the 1979 addition with a new addition that is better-suited to the requirements of the court functions.

DCAMM's Jeff Novak was there to receive the award on behalf of the agency.  This was a great project – as Jeff said at the event: “It is great to be associated with a job that’s being hailed as such a resounding success. I hear nothing but praise and commendations from the court staff, public, municipal officials and others who have had the chance to see the finished building first-hand. This is the tangible result of focused, attentive and thoughtful design and quality execution. Both are necessary to get an end product like this and we certainly got them.”
