Medical Use of Marijuana Program

The Medical Use of Marijuana Program (Program) registers qualifying patients, personal caregivers, Registered Marijuana Dispensaries (RMD), and RMD agents. The Program was established by Chapter 369 of the Acts of 2012, "An Act for the Humanitarian Medical Use of Marijuana,'' following the passage of Ballot Question 3 in the 2012 general election.

Who we serve

The Medical Use of Marijuana Program registers qualifying patients so they may access marijuana for medical use. 

Administration and oversight of the Massachusetts Medical Use of Marijuana Program has transferred from the Department of Public Health (DPH) to the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC), a change that is mandated by MGL, c. 55 of the acts of 2017.
