Elayne Campos

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Planning

Elayne Campos is the Acting Deputy Commissioner in the Office of Planning at the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) overseeing the Commonwealth’s planning and design for Higher Education, Public Safety, Courts, Health and Human Services and other executive offices.  Projects range from strategic planning and campus master planning, to repairs and renovations, to major new construction.  

Most recently, Elayne led the Strategic Framework Plan for the Public Higher Education System developing a new approach to capital funding for all 29 institutions.  Elayne works closely with key leaders of our agencies across the state ensuring that our projects are planned and well managed to meet the needs of our clients.

Prior to joining DCAMM in 2002, Elayne worked in facilities management and at architectural firms specializing in health care.  She has moderated and delivered presentations on several topics related to higher education, project delivery and budgets.  She is a member of the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) and served on the BSA Nominating Committee.  Elayne is a graduate of Slippery Rock State University and the Boston Architectural College, where she served as an Overseer to the Board Directors and as a student advisor.
