Kirk G. Hanson

General Counsel

Kirk Hanson joined the Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM) as General Counsel in December 2022, with extensive experience in state government and over 20 years’ practice as an attorney. 

Prior to joining DCAMM, Kirk served as Deputy Legal Counsel in the Governor’s Office.  Before that, he spent almost nine years representing various state agencies in state and federal court as an Assistant Attorney General in the Administrative Law Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.  Prior to joining state government, Kirk was an attorney at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston, working on a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.

Kirk holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
