Martha Goldsmith is the Director of the Office of Leasing and State Office Planning for the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance, where she is responsible for the procurement and administration of leases for state office and facilities. The Commonwealth leases more than 7.5 million usable square feet of space across the state for state agencies, including executive branch agencies, the Judiciary, constitutional offices, and others. While at DCAMM, she represented DCAMM in activity to redevelop the Saltonstall Building at 100 Cambridge Street, Boston. The Leasing Office has supported initiatives and ongoing activities of state government, leasing space for state offices that provide client service, represent indigent defendants in court, advocate for consumers, license professionals, and many other state responsibilities. The Leasing Office has also established and implemented standards and guidelines related to leasing and occupancy of office space.
Prior to joining DCAMM, Martha worked in real estate development for the Finch Group, a Boston real estate company. She served in housing and economic development policy positions for the City of Boston, where she was also a board member of Neighborhood Housing Services and a Commissioner for the Real Property Department.
Martha attended Vassar College and graduated from the University of Michigan, and later received a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Washington and a master’s in management from Simmons College.
