Re: Claims for Restitution

The Department has completed the review of claims for restitution for Allstate Institute of Technology. Student claims totaled $201,133.92, far in excess of the $100,000 surety bond; therefore, students will receive 38% of the amounts claimed. The Department will begin cutting checks within the next 30 days. However, the Department has been unable to reach many students because of invalid contact information. If you do not receive a check by January 1, 2004, but you have submitted a claim for restitution and believe that you are owed a refund, please notify the Department by emailing us at Occupational.Schools@state.ma.us. If your address has changed since filing the claim, please send us new W9 and Terms and Conditions forms that include your updated contact information. Faxed and emailed copies of these documents cannot be accepted as the Department requires an original signature.

The Department greatly appreciates your help in keeping the volume of phone calls it receives to a minimum by checking this web-site for future updates as it helps our small staff concentrate on completing the high volume of work experienced by this unit. We thank you for your help and patience in this matter.
