Community Forest Stewardship Grants

Learn about how your community can receive a grant for better forest stewardship.

This program is a pilot project with an initial round of funding. The goal is to aid communities in putting forest stewardship into practice and to help connect the local citizens to their forest and the benefits these forests provide, including

  •  A local source of wood products
  • Clean water
  • Biodiversity
  • Wildlife habitat.

These are 50-50 matching reimbursement grants.

You can find more information on forest stewardship from the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
