    Overview

The Conservation Assistance for Small Communities Grant Program provides funding for towns with 6,000 people or less for:

    • The preparation of real property appraisals
    • Open Space & Recreation Plans (OSRPs)
    • Other planning in support of land conservation

In order to be eligible for funding, the applicant municipality must also apply to one of the Division of Conservation Services’ main grant programs in FY 20. This isn't a competitive grant program; if your community is eligible, it will be able to receive funding until all funds are allocated.

    Eligible Projects

    Eligible projects include:

    • Appraisals
    • Open Space and Recreation Plans
    • Other planning documents

Participants must have an executed state contract before commencing work.
