Notice of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Massachusetts State Plan
In accordance with Section 402 [42 U.S.C. 602] of the Social Security Act, the Department proposes to resubmit its TANF State Plan to the Office of Family Assistance, Administration for Children and Families, US Department of Health and Human Services. As required by this section of the Act, local governments and private sector organizations must receive at least 45 days to comment on the State Plan and the design of services described in the State Plan.
At the conclusion of the 45-day public comment period and after consideration of comments, the State Plan shall be certified by the Governor.
All persons desiring to submit data, views or arguments concerning the State Plan shall file the same with the Assistant Commissioner, Economic Assistance and Employment, Department of Transitional Assistance, 600 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02111, on or before 1/24/2019.
