Staff training and naloxone

All BSAS-funded treatment providers are eligible for free staff training, technical assistance and naloxone for on-site emergency response from Praxis, a program of the Center for Social Innovation.

You can request training and download a range of resources from the Praxis Opioid Overdose Prevention webpage: Opioid Overdose Prevention Training Resources.

For client access to naloxone

BSAS-funded treatment programs can partner with a local pharmacy with a standing order to dispense kits and bill their insurance.

BSAS-funded treatment programs can also partner with a local DPH Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution (OEND) Program for training in overdose prevention and naloxone distribution for clients.  These programs offer an integrated drug user health service including infectious disease prevention and testing as well as overdose prevention education and training.
