Learn about the Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) system for agencies

CCFA is the system for early education and care agencies to use for managing child care subsidies awarded to families.

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) provides subsidies to families in need to help cover the cost of child care. EEC administers these subsidy funds through the Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) system. Providers need to use this platform for documenting family eligibility, authorizing placements, reporting child attendance, and submitting billing/requesting payment.

CCFA training and resources

All users of the CCFA system should complete training appropriate to their organization type.

For contracted providers and child care resource and referral agencies (CCR&Rs):

You need to complete training on:

  • Intake
  • Authorization
  • Placement
  • Attendance
  • Billing

For voucher only providers:

Providers who accept only vouchers and who do not have any contracted slots need to complete training on the CCFA Attendance modules. To complete this training, contact your Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency’s CCFA administrator.
