The Massachusetts Ocean Management Plan promotes sustainable use of state ocean waters and protects critical marine habitat and important water-dependent uses by setting siting and management standards for new ocean-based projects. The Oceans Act of 2008 requires review of the plan—which was last updated in January 2015—at least once every five years. To support the 2019-2020 ocean plan review and update, a survey was conducted from April 2-12, 2019.
Information on survey results will be posted here when it is available.
