To request an audio for a newer case, please contact the court in which the proceeding was held.
The courts are transitioning to a system called FTR (For the Record), but it is not yet available in all court departments or divisions.
If FTR is available for your case
FTR (For The Record) audio recordings are accessible online for $10.00, or playable by duplicate CD (compact disc) for $50.50.
If you would like to listen to a court proceeding recorded by the FTR (For The Record) system, please click this link to access their audio streaming service: https://us.court.fm.
First time users will need to create an account, provide your credit card information, and pay $10.00 to access the audio recording online from your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. The audio recording will be accessible online for one (1) year.
If you would like a duplicate CD (compact disc) to insert and play on your personal computer, you will need to present a check payable to the "Commonwealth of Massachusetts" for $50.50 to the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held.
If FTR is not available for your case
Follow the procedure outlined in Older cases, below.
If you're looking for a duplicate audio recording of an electronically recorded proceeding, the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held can provide a compact disc copy for you. The fee for a duplicate audio recording on compact disc is $50.50, payable to the clerk of courts, clerk magistrate, or register where your proceeding was held.
