WIOA Field Management and Program Oversight

The Field Management and Oversight Unit is authorized and has the responsibility to monitor all recipients of federal funding to determine compliance with federal requirements. Fiscal and program monitors conduct regular oversight and monitoring of WIOA and Wagner-Peyser Act program(s). This includes providing hands-on technical assistance and conducting on-site records reviews. 

Key Learning Objectives:

1. To understand why you monitor; what you monitor and how you monitor
2. To understand the key areas pf fiscal/program review (What we specifically look at)
3. To understand what are findings, questioned costs, and disallowed costs, etc.
4. To understand the steps and process of monitoring activities including a time line for the beginning of the monitoring review; site visits; materials/records needed; and closing activities.
