Creating a demand-driven system
Career Center Redesign - Creating a Demand-Driven System is a program that focuses on developing and implementing a demand-facing model of service delivery which includes strong customer relationship building.
With the goal of moving toward a demand-facing model and strong customer relationship building, the MassHire Central Region Workforce Board recently underwent a process to redesign the operations of their region’s three MassHire Career Centers toward a “demand-facing” model which places more focus upon employer services and the ability to recruit and screen appropriate candidates for some of its business customers. This project involved planning through a team of Board and Career Center staff and Board members and involved the development of a new customer flow, new business recruitment services, staff reorganization, staff training, and the development of a career portal to support readiness efforts and communication by Career team. The project was implemented with training assistance for business staff from Career Team, as well as training for staff on establishment of rapport and lasting change by the Bounce USA Life-skills training.
