  • Register for an upcoming flagship day event
    • SRTS hosts three flagship days each year. Flagship days are a great way to celebrate active transportation by jumpstarting walking and biking to school in the community.
      • iWalk – International Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day (the first Wednesday of October)
      • Massachusetts Winter Walk to School Day (the first Wednesday of February) Click here to access the Winter Walk to School Day flyer for February 5, 2020
      • Massachusetts Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day (Wednesday, May 6, 2020). Click here to access the flyer for May 6, 2020.
    • You can now register for all three flagship days at once. Click Register to go to the new online registration page. Please note: if you’ve registered for all three flagship days at once, you don’t need to re-register each individual event
  • Start a walking school bus/bike train
    • Walking school buses and bike trains are fun, social, physically active, and environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. By evaluating and assessing where students live and walk, SRTS can help determine student drop-off and pick-up points along a designated route to school that is under complete supervision of parents/guardians or school staff. Request your kit to start a walking school bus.
  • Set up a bike rodeo
    • bike rodeo is an interactive way to teach students the rules of the road while practicing safe bicycling skills. The rodeo format incorporates stations along a loop course that simulates a neighborhood environment.
  • Walk Across America and Massachusetts posters
  • Access to safety incentive items to encourage safe walking and biking to and from school
    • Materials geared toward a specific grade level
    • Access to safety items such as bike helmets, reflective armbands and shoelaces
    • (Bike helmets are distributed to those with the greatest need and are donated by our Alliance Partner, Breakstone, White & Gluck, through its Project KidSafe initiative)
