COASTSWEEP is the annual volunteer beach cleanup organized by CZM. Since 1987, thousands of volunteers have removed hundreds of tons of trash and other marine debris from the state’s coastline and waterways through this effort, which is part of the International Coastal Cleanup organized by Ocean Conservancy in Washington, DC.
