Spotlight on Schools - OIG Academy Elective

This 3-part online class will focus on specialized issues and challenges confronting school officials and staff.

Overview

 

This 3-part Spotlight on Schools class will provide school-specific training on Chapter 30B and other procurement issues to assist school officials and staff better navigate the procurement law. Each segment will include exercises and discussion.

Participants may take one, two or all three segments. However, to earn Professional Development Points (PDP) credits for MA Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) licensure, participants must complete all three segments. The following will most likely be the segment themes:

  • Dealing with potentially problematic school district contracts
  • Procurement challenges in the current market
  • Responding to FAQs/concerns from school districts

Class dates:

  • May 7, 2024

Class time: 

  • 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Credits

  • 3.5 OIG Academy credits per segment
  • 10.5 PDP or 10.5 OIG Academy credits for all 3 parts

Cost:

  • $99 - each part 

Registration closes two weeks before the class start date.
