Transportation safety training for child care (Including Look Before You Lock)

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requires programs and transportation providers to complete training on how to safely transport children.

Required training for employees

EEC requires all programs, their staff and their transportation providers to complete the Look Before You Lock training, on how to reduce the risk of danger to children in transportation vehicles and how to safely transport children in care. In order to receive your training certificate, make certain that the presentation is in "present" mode and that you can hear the audio. At the end of the PowerPoint, there will be a hyperlink which you can follow to access the testing and the certificate.

The Drivers Transportation Training is also required annually for all drivers and transportation monitors who serve EEC's early education and care programs.

To take this training in a different language, please look through the MassDocs collection.

Please also refer to EEC’s Transportation Policy for more information about the responsibilities of programs and transportation providers in transporting children.
