Women+ in Finance Fellowship

The purpose of this program is to identify and foster diverse talent for the financial industry, build an equitable network and pipeline for people in finance, and advocate for the placement of women and non-binary people in leadership roles.

The Massachusetts Women+ in Finance Fellowship is a paid fellowship opportunity for women and non-binary undergraduates interested in entering the financial services industry. In 2016, it debuted as the first fellowship of its kind sponsored by a government organization.

The purpose of this program is to identify and foster diverse talent for the financial industry, build an equitable network and pipeline for people in finance, and advocate for the placement of women and non-binary people in leadership roles.

The upcoming 2023 Women+ in Finance Fellowship offers full-time positions within the State Treasurer’s Debt Management Department, the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, the Massachusetts State Retirement Board, and the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board. Fellows will assist the departments with a variety of finance-related projects and receive one-on-one mentoring from financial professionals.

The fellowship runs from Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 to Friday, July 28th, 2023. Fellows will receive a stipend through the program. Due to COVID-19, departments may adopt an in-person, remote, or hybrid schedule depending on safety protocols.
