Women in Finance Fellowship

The purpose of the program is to identify and foster female talent for the financial industry, build a network and pipeline for women in finance, and advocate for the placement of women in leadership roles.

The Massachusetts Women in Finance Fellowship is a paid fellowship opportunity for young women interested in entering the financial services industry. In 2016, it debuted as the first fellowship of its kind sponsored by a government organization.

The purpose of the program is to identify and foster female talent for the financial industry, build a network and pipeline for women in finance, and advocate for the placement of women in leadership roles.

The upcoming 2022 Women in Finance Fellowship offers full-time positions within the State Treasurer’s Debt Management Department, the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, the Massachusetts School Building Authority, and the Pension Reserve Investment Management Board. Fellows will assist the departments with a variety of finance-related projects and receive one-on-one mentoring from financial professionals.

The fellowship runs from Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 to Friday, July 29th, 2022. Fellows will receive a stipend through the program. Due to COVID-19, departments may adopt an in-person, remote, or hybrid schedule depending on safety protocols.

Applications for the 2022 Women in Finance Fellowship are now closed. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Economic Empowerment at empowerment@tre.state.ma.us.
