Public Meeting Notice  Chelmsford - Gorham St. (ST 3A) bridge replacement and Westford St. bridge rehabilitation over I-495

A Live Virtual Public Informational Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed project BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, C-08-039, GORHAM STREET (ST 3A) OVER I-495 AND REHABILITATION OF C-08-036, WESTFORD STREET OVER I-495 (DB) in Chelmsford, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project CHELMSFORD- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, C-08-039, GORHAM STREET (ST 3A) OVER I-495 AND REHABILITATION OF C-08-036, WESTFORD STREET OVER I-495 (DB). All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

The proposed project consists of Replacing Bridges carrying Gorham St (Rte 3A) over I 495 and Westford St over I 495. Both bridges will have 6 ft sidewalks on both sides. Gorham St will have 5 ft bike lanes protected by 3ft buffers. Westford St will have 6ft shoulders, allowing for bike travel.
