Overview   of Healey-Driscoll Administration North Worcester County Essential Services Athol Listening Session

This listening session is related to the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s review of access to all essential health services in the Northern Worcester County area. Information gathered at this session will be used to develop a plan to support or improve access where needed. The review will include an assessment of hospital services, community-based care, and social supports. It will also include consultation and collaboration with providers and community leaders in the area to help protect and sustain access to critical services following the closure of the Leominster inpatient maternity unit.

DPH’s goal is to listen and learn from people in regions throughout the state. The goal is to develop strategies to optimize the experiences and outcomes for individuals and communities affected by these closures.
