Overview   of Public Building Project Procurement and Oversight Basics

Fees: $99

This 3-hour training provides a broad overview for nonexperts (public officials, public board and committee members, private contractors and other citizens) interested in a brief introduction to Massachusetts public construction procurement, project oversight requirements and best practices.

This is a clear, nontechnical introduction. Attendees will learn about the requirements for procuring contracts with building designers, owner’s project managers, and contractors. They will also receive a brief overview of other important construction-related topics such as the prevailing wage law, change orders, bonds, bid protests, and effective project oversight.

Are you looking for more information about public construction law and practices? Please view our other class offerings such as, Design and Construction Contracting or Construction Management at Risk.

  • Registration closes two weeks before the class start date.
  • Blackboard® or other virtual platform login details will be emailed to registrants.
